In May, Wuhan University in Hubei, China dedicated the brand new technology lab building that will be the base of its research and academic partnership with Eastern Michigan University.
The building and partnership-the Joint International Center for Resources, Environment Management and Digital Technology-are new, but an EMU professor has quietly spent the last six years laying the foundation.
New way-finding Web site helps Eastern Michigan students navigate campus
YPSILANTI - Finding your way around a new school can be a daunting task, especially if the campus encompasses more than 800 acres and 120 buildings. Add to that several major construction projects, including the two largest classroom buildings, and even a returning senior can become directionally challenged.
To help new and returning students navigate the campus as school starts, Eastern Michigan University has created a way-finding system that can help locate classrooms, parking lots and even faculty and staff.
Eastern Michigan University prepares to celebrate Chinese Week, Feb. 7-14
YPSILANTI -A Chinese Spring Festival Gala will kick off Eastern Michigan University's celebration of Chinese Week, Feb. 7-14.
The Gala, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 7, will feature cultural displays, games, buffet dinner, performance, raffle and dance. The event is 4-9:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. Eastern Michigan University and the City of Ypsilanti are taking that picture one step further.
